Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You

After lots of stress, worrying, numerous lists, lack of sleep, excitement, 1 sick baby, endless shopping & lots of cooking, the girls 1st birthday party turned out wonderful!!!! It ended up being a gorgeous afternoon & I was one proud Mommy. I think we ended up with 38 adults & 24 kids & I believe fun was had by all. The only dissapointment.... I was so busy that I didn't get many good pics. Here's the best of the best.

The Birthday Girls!

Some of our dear family & friends.

Their YUMMY cake. The girls really surprised us during the cake eating because they did the complete opposite of what we thought they'd do. Sara, who normally chooses each bite carefully, went at it. Siena, who normally shovels her food in, barely touched it.

You think it's difficult to take a pic of 2 babies? Try 3 sets of twins!

Thanks to everyone for making it such a special day. The girls got so many adorable clothes, books & toys & all is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, now Sara & I are sick & Siena still has a bad cough. I hope they feel okay on their birthday Wednesday. More on Friday after their 1 Year check-up.

The Last First Holiday

I can't believe Easter was the girls' last 1st holiday. We had a wonderful day @ my parents, as always. We put the girls down for their nap so we could go have our Easter Egg Hunt. It's even fun for us big kids!! :-) There are tickets in some of the eggs that go with a particular gift such as a bottle of wine, Chapstick, dresses for the girls, etc... We ate dinner early so the girls could join us & then we went for a nice walk. Can't wait til next year when they'll be big enough to hunt for eggs too!
Besides that, I've been sooooo busy planning their 1st Birthday party this Sat. On that note, I gotta get back to work! Here's some pics from Easter.

One Step at a Time

It's been a big week. Both Sara and Siena have taken their 1st steps! I'm so proud they both did it before their 1st birthday. Jeff & I were talking today about how fast this year has flown. We said "Remember when they used to just lay there like blobs??" haha Not anymore!! I actually got a teeny bit on video so here they are.

Siena did it 1st. YEAH!!! This makes us so happy.

And now Sara... Only 3 days later.

It's so cute seeing them stand without holding on to anything. Of course it's only for seconds, but exciting nonetheless. Here's some pics:

And last, my incredibly generous friend Kyrstyn gave the girls this push toy & they love it! (And I love it cuz it provides entertainment!!)

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter from our family to yours. Xoxo

It's April Already???

I'll do a much more detailed blog on their 1st birthday as to everything they're doing, but for now? Here's a couple videos & pics from the last few weeks.

A little play time. (Or more like Sara liking Siena's new long hair.)

Supposed nap time

Siena gettin herself into another precarious position

Trying to get a good birthday invite pic. This was almost used cuz it's kinda funny but I just couldn't do it.

I ended up using this in full color, but thought this was pretty cool

My fav pic of the month. They look so cute (and so grown up!)
