Another great Dr. appt.!!

It's really hard to believe it was over 11 weeks ago that we 1st went to the ER & worried the girls wouldn't make it. As hard as bedrest has been, I'm sure that's what brought us to where we are today. Saw our specialist today & we're all doing great! Baby A is approx. 3 lbs. 8 oz. & Baby B approx. 3 lbs. 12 oz. They're both right where they should be. :) I'm now going in 2x a week where they monitor their heartbeats & my contractions. And other great news? I'm now 60% off bedrest!! And only 2 more weeks til I'm totally off. Whoo Hoo! Of course, I can't can't go crazy & need to listen to my body & rest, but the freedom will be wonderful. It's sooo hard to depend on other people to do everything for you (especially someone with my personality- haha), but I am so grateful for all the help and support I've received. Here's the newest pic of my ever-growing big belly!! 32 weeks and counting...

I saw this on Jon & Kate Plus 8 & thought it looked so fun for kids! Here's the recipe:

Equal parts:
Powdered milk
Honey
P-nut butter
plus a little flour to get it the right consistency

And, of course, food coloring

Happy 89th Birthday Grandma!!!!

Wow, that's incredible! Unfortunately, I couldn't make the trip up to Santa Maria with Mom this year but I'm definitely there in spirit. I hope I'll be able to come up soon & introduce you to your 19th & 20th great-grandchildren!! I love you Grandma!!

30 WEEKS TODAY!!!! :)

I can't believe it!!! It seemed like 4ever ago that my Dr. said this was our 1st goal! Had an appt. this am & my cervix is still closed & she doesn't feel the the need to do that FFN test anymore cuz I'm doing so well. And even more good news??? I'm allowed to do more now!! Before I was only allowed up about 1 hour a day & now I get 3-4!!! YIPPEE!! So I can go to Babies R US or to dinner, etc... I just need to take it somewhat easy & listen to my body.

And the last kinda funny thing? I got in trouble again for not gaining enough weight (only 1/2 lb. in 2 weeks. ) It's not without trying- I eat about 6x a day!!!! But apparently not enough & it's really important right now- it's the time when the girls are putting on fat & they really need it. I've only gained 20 & I should be up about 30ish. We really think the meds I'm taking are speeding up my metabolism. (Can I continue to take them after the babies come? lol) So, I guess I should take advantage of the only time in my life when I should gain weight & I went & got Rocky Road, Drumsticks, sausages 4 breakfast, etc... lol 7 weeks to go...

Exciting Weekend!! (Gosh, haven't said THAT in a long time! haha)

I'm so lucky I was able to go to my dear friend KT's Bridal Shower. As usual, MW did a beautiful job and it was sooooo nice. KT looked gorgeous & happy and got lots of great gifts. So sad we can't be at her wedding next month at the spectacular Grand Wailea, but we'll definitely be there in spirit. Someone better have a few Lava Flows on my behalf!! ;)

2nd exciting thing... I've officially made it through 8 weeks of bedrest! Yippee! God willing only 6-7 more to go!! Keep cookin little twinkies!! :)

And last, but certainly not least, I got to meet Little Miss EBK!! :) She was born last Fri, Feb. 22nd and couldn't be sweeter. She sleeps all the time for Mommy & Daddy and is a good eater too. And Big Brother LK has been doing so great so far! I'm so excited TK & I got to go through our pregnancies together and even moreso for our girls to be as close as we are. xoxo
